Dear friends, Topps has listed the October 2013 AOD cards back on their site at reduced prices. Maybe this is the time to buy them, especially if you missed them before.
I don't think that they did anything ugly for November 2013, but they are asking $60 a pop which is okay going by previous months.

Sadly, I believe we're going to have to pass through their Ugly Christmas tribute. They should have ended it all after the initial August failure. AOD was a great concept but miserable implementation. I hope a few collectors were able to obtain works they will enjoy as much as the simple 1965 & 1974 Ugly Sticker's artworks.

Topps needs to get off of the retro tip and do some brand-new stuff. They're currently pushing new (old) Mars Attacks products. Boring.
They ought to bring back Art Speigleman and let him art direct a project or three. Jayzee Lynch's still around and John Pound, too. Hire them to come up all-new material. Fresh is the word!
(edit) Topps doesn't really "need" to do anything; they're pulling in loot hand-over-fist. They need to do new stuff - good creepy stuff - if they want any of my loot, though.

Amazing, I never heard about this "Ugly Santa" Christmas thing before... and it's exclusively on eBay? I've been checking the Topps Entertainment site, I didn't think to look at eBay first. I wouldn't be shocked if the Bonus AOD card ends up being more desirable than the actual sketches themselves.
I wonder what they are thinking? So all the Ugly fans will be missing an Ugly November entry from their AOD collection? September was very "slim pickens", but it did have a very small number of Uglies available. October had a larger selection than September, but I think that nobody knew what to make of AOD by then, and may have been concerned about their overindulging investments made in August.
On a side note, very weird that Topps are targeting Ugly collectors so much for AOD, yet haven't reissued Ugly Stickers in a retail form since 1979. (I really hope they do)
The original first 2 weeks of August was ideal IMO. Pick your character from a huge list, pick your artist & choose color or B&W. There was a big element of surprise that was quite fun. Next month your favorite series was supposed to be gone, and the next person's favorite series may pop up.
All of the artists have been very cool, it's just been a roller coaster ride figuring it all out from a consumer standpoint.

I completely agree; if Topps had stuck to their original plan for you to select the Ugly you wanted,, name it and a specif artist it would have been much better. But I think they must have had website problems with that.
Having invest so much time in the lead-up the least they could do is salvage all those new Ugly creatures by putting out a new sticker set.
I'm not thinking that I'll like the Christmas Uglies much.

Well, the Christmas Uglies are already for sale on eBay. They're not too bad, it's mostly Uglies wearing a Santa hat. The B&W sketches look really nice with the December border, IMO.

No, they suck! IMHO Don't be shy about it, tell me how you really feel? ;D I bought two of them, I factored in the Bonus cards as part of my justification. I got a Carl & a Charlie.

Sorry, don't mean to imply the artwork was bad. I am more upset with Topps generally about the way they handled the remake Ugly Stickers concept.

They did recruit a lot of new artists for the December offerings. I like Dustin's and Smokin' Joes works best in the series. Although Matt really went into new Ugly territory for his works.

Well, new December Uglies are up for sale on the Topps AOD page. The two I bought off eBay were a Dustin Graham and a Shawn Conn. Dustin Graham was already fairly known for his GPK work, but this Mr. Conn has impressed me so far with the work that I've seen. The pricing has also changed from $75 to $50 (or $60?) for B&W, and from $250 down to $150-$175 for Colors.
