I was surprised to find this nice little number on eBay this morning. Oh My! I've never seen a Black with Yellow Eye Iris before. What an awesome piece. Did you win it? I did win it, indeed. Unfortunately, as cool as a black Iris would be, it looks to be a dark transparent aqua blue. Never the less, yellow eyed uglies are my personal favorite. Attachments:

Major score today: I've seen "Creatures from the Stars" numerous times on random 1980s headers cards before featuring tiny funky hard plastic mini transformers-aliens & bootleg M.U.S.C.L.E. figures, but never has the label been so large. Maybe Creatures from the Stars is the actual name for this harder-rubber P.V.C. Animals bootleg series? Most likely not, though. Can anybody date the De-Horribles like Jiggler in the center? Also, the Dorothy and Kenneth are from a completely different series from the knock-off P.V.C. Animals. I'm honestly the most impressed that these large-sized toys were only sold for a quarter, so they must have come during the very early 25c period. It's not like only one unobtainable prize was featured at the center of the card, but ALL of the prizes look unobtainable to me at 25c. Every toy offered is large and amazing for a quarter, and no child in the 80s would have gotten something like this from a "quarter-machine" unles they were the luckiest kid in town. In Nickel machines the single prominent Dime toy was the luring focal point of the header card. However in the 80s all of the toys were still small and funky for a quarter, and the main "gotcha" would most likely be a rubber child's digital wristwatch. All of the toys shown on this card would be closer to 50c-75c mark than the 25c asked during that decade. This just has to be a card from a very very pricey 1970s machine. As ritzy as it sounds, any child was lucky to buy any toy from this machine IMO unless the header was a complete lie. Your thoughts?

Oh my goodness. That "Creatures from the Stars" header card an amazing collection with the P.V.C. Animals and other creatures, but that giant centipede is FANTASTIC!
Way to score RU!

I don't know who got the Ken but I won the early gen Steve from the same seller for a fraction of the cost. Many of the Uglies he listed looked to be early molds. Very nice collection.

Unfortunately I didn't win any of the auctions, but he had some great stuff and I bid on a handful of the auctions. That was a really old Steve and I concur that it is most likely a first gen, super nice detail on all of the eye sockets. I only own one Steve like that, and it has the same color scheme.

I only have another Steve like that with the detailed eyes but he has a slightly cut tongue. This new green and red one looks to be in very nice shape. The eyes are outlined somewhat similar to the original James molds only the actual eye itself bulges out more on a 1st Gen. James figure (if that makes sense). The later mold Steve's eyes are not nearly pronounced as I have a few of those as well and the black paint on the eyes tends to be bigger on the later generations. Don't mean to ramble but I am excited to receive this guy who was I feel well worth the $14.50 I spent. I do appreciate this sight and also the wisdom I gain from so many great collectors like yourself!
