Just got this sealed 4 pack in the mail. The seller said it was found in an old box full of cereal premiums. This most likely was sold in a store with a hanging cardboard tag on top, but it is worth noting the "cereal powder" in the seem on the baggie. These are the 4 characters for reference: It's hard to tell since his face is buried among other uglies, but this example of Alvin has 2 hair follicles on his pupils on both eyes. Here's a close up of dorothy, does she usually have a horn? Some nice blue paint on Dorothy & Alvin. And here Kenneth looks like he isn't pleased being stuck in a cellophane prison. This particular example of Florence really has a lazy paint job. Also note the cool suction cup design on the bottom of Kenneth.

These two Roy figures represent another study of an early Rubber Ugly on the left (I think 1st gen) and a later one that came from a gumball machine in the 1970's. The one on the right (from gumball vending machine, is one of the ones I've had in my collection from the start. Attachments:

I just recently got the yellow Rubber Ugly on the left, it is 1st Gen. While the one on the right has been with me for close to 40 years and if I recall correctly it came from a gumball vending machine. Attachments:

Both these Rubber Uglies are from my early childhood collection. The smaller one on the left is from a gumball machine. Attachments:

Here is another of my very early Rubbery Ugly creatures I saved. I just got another Kenneth in the mail today. Has a more pronounced "suction cup" design on the bottom, no seam lines, 9 tentacles (has the extra one in front of his mouth) and also says "Made in Hong Kong" on the bottom rear. Has baby-blue paint sprayed on most of the body. Also held under a flashlight, the New arrival Kenneth also has some suction cup designs on the TOP of his rear tentacles under the paint. My other Kenneth which is mint in bag has some extra mold-seem rubber around the leg/tentacle borders, has a manufacturing injection mold mark above each eye, and has more of a "splattered" darker blue paint and the basic Hong Kong copyright is on the rear-*top* of him. Compared to the MIB Kenneth, this new one I just received is clearly from an earlier mold. How often do you see "Made in Hong Kong" vs "Hong Kong" the uglies?

I stumbled across a cool blog post from a childhood Ugly collector. What really caught my eye was his "Carl". Never seen one before. It's a shame that Carl's tongue and protruding eye are missing from his toy, but now that we know it exists I hope that one day we can see one in it's entirety. Attachments:
