I know (well, assume) that Topps was the manufacturer of the actual Uglies based on the Ugly Stickers (Dave, Iris, etc.). Who were the manufacturering companies osome of the other "ugly"=type figures, such as the Horrible Reptiles, P.V.C Animals (both soft rubber AND the later hard rubber/plastic-y ones), the Slurfies, etc.
Does anyone know for sure? I have only seen a few of the original carded sets of some of these guys and can't seem (from pics) to find a manufacturing company name.
I am just interested in things like this! :-)

Well, I highly doubt that Topps was very much involved with Uglies besides (whatever may be) the very first gen. It wasn't very uncommon for a company to have a manufacturer in Hong Kong create a mold and manufacture a line of toys, only for that Hong Kong manufacturer to turn right around and create various counterfeit toys based off of said mold of toys that they were commissioned to create.
The Ugly manufacturers remain vastly unknown, with the only series with a maker's mark that I can think of is the late gen Horrible Reptiles as they usually sport the Brabo "AST/A$" symbol. I also wouldn't be shocked if Imperial Toys made some of them either.
