Another of my favorites! I also really dig the textured background you have 'em on....reminds me of an alien desert landscape.

Why didn't I think of it before? I need to retake this picture showing the Joel Larval figure next to these two.
BTW: Jigglywiggly, the background is only a yellow two-pocket file folder that I set these figures on. Nothing special or particularly selected before photographing them. I just want to have a consistent color background in my pictures. Sadly there has not been a lot of sunny days lately to allow for the long shadows that I like with my pictures.

Here is yet another variation of the Joel Ugly. This is a later version Joel from an unknown series. It a variation that I have seen several time but did not have until just recently. Note the suckers covering the four front tentacles all over (top & bottoms). The hanging eye is almost completely connected to the head. Nice painted highlights on the orange rubber body.

The Joel on the left has an unusually full body. Whereas the other is completely hollow. An unusual variation. Full & Hollow Bodies by Astronit, on Flickr Note the space between the two eye-stalks on this Joel figure. Most Joels' have the two stalks joined together. This is the same 'full-bodied' Joel figure as in the previous picture. Separated Eye-Stalks by Astronit, on Flickr

Here is a new Joel/Iris that I really love even though he is missing an eye. His teeth are quite detailed as well as the paint coloration. You can also see that the missing eye must have had the extended eye stalks based on what remains. He also has a lot of detail in the rubber leading me to believe he is a very early gen. Comments are welcome.

He also has a lot of detail in the rubber leading me to believe he is a very early gen. Yeah, it looks like first generation by the size and detail. The one shown in my picture with the extended eye-stalks IS NOT first gen. The body is is smaller/narrow and has some other differences. Difficult to put these variations into any release timeline or series. Who knows what other unknowns are out there yet to discover?
