Okay, its not often I ask for help identifying something but I have these two oddball rubber creatures that I'd like more information about. They are a little more than six inches in length and made of a fairly dense rubber so they lay flat. Does anyone remember them of has seen packaging? It is possible they came out of vending machine capsules. Thanks for your help. Flat Rubber Oddities by Astronit, on Flickr

This is my Alligator Beetle or ALLIBEETLE. He did come out of a quarter vending machine capsule in the early 1970's. Alibeetle by Astronit, on Flickr

These are really great. I remember seeing them in the quarter machines, sure, along with goofy-faced punch balloons and plastic skull charms. I had one that is VERY similar to these...sort of like a very angular lizard with an arrowhead-shaped face. (??)
I want that gray frog/centipede (toadapede?) in the worst way!

The front end of the green one has a vague resemblence to the caterpillar/mollusk creatures in that 50s Sci-Fi flick MONSTER THAT CHALLENGED THE WORLD, does anyone else think???
