Ok tell us about your first monster experience. I got mine from a vending machine in a Canadian mall. He cost $.25 and he was all smushed up inside a capsule. He had a Russian accent and got along well with my friend's toys, mostly Star Wars figures that would have been worth a ton today if they were in better condition. I'm happy to still have him today. He has less paint but still in ok condition. Attachments:

Cool story! My first was a white bodied Alvin with red and green paint. Purchased by my dad for me sometime in the summer of 1968 from a box on the counter at a local five and dime called McCrory's in LaVale Maryland. An original which I do not have but replaced at a later date in my life with paint almost identical to the first. I remember having most all of the original set. Daniel, Alvin, and Al were some of my favorites back then as they are today.

My first Ugly was this Dave that has survived almost 50 years with me. Bought from a Ben Franklin Five & Dime store in Greenfield, IN. I thought it was sooo much fun to place on the end of my finger and chase around my sister with it making growling and roaring noises.

My first jiggler was like this ghost. My father brought it to me when I was seriously injured and in the hospital at age six (1967).

It was 1967 and us kids would stop by the local dime store after 2nd grade got out and I remember buying a Iris/Joel. That early on, I am sure it was a dual eyestalk. Rubber Uglies were as common as baseball cards in the schoolyard.
