Once again the rubber toy collecting community has a chance to discover something completely new and original. Zac Amendolia of www.zacart.com has just released his latest piece of creative rubber art, it is called “THE FROGLODYTE“. Previous Zacart creations include “The Big Ugly”, “The Greeb” and “King Fingor”. All masterfully crafted to high standards and authentically representing a homage to our beloved memories of Rubber Uglies, Finger Monsters and Jigglers of past generations.
The initial limited run of “THE FROGLODYTE” is green and white (now ‘sold out’). Zac assures that there will be more available in other colorways. The sculpture of “THE FROGLODYTE” is very high quality and the rubber texture is very jiggly (albeit quite sticky for now). It has glass eyes, gold hang string and a yellow name tape just like Russ Berrie jigglers of the 1960’s. An interesting addition is the Cheetah pattern loin cloths which covers “THE FROGLODYTE“ anatomically correct midsection.
It is certainly a very welcome addition to my collection and I hope other collectors appreciate this incredible throwback collectable.
