Rubber Uglies on Boxes of Tide

Ahhh, the Rubber Uglies! I loved, loved, loved these guys when I was a kid in the late 60s! They would come on the side of a box of Tide laundry detergent. Not inside, but mounted on the side of the box. My favorite was "Florence," the one with the tongue sticking out that looked like this:

I also remember the stickers. My older brothers collected them, and I would snag them and stick them in the weirdest places, like under the bed. No wonder they used to smack me all the time. :/

This is the first time I've heard about them being soap box premiums. I wonder if you recall the Tide boxes having any promotion picturing the Uglies, like cereal boxes showing you the premiums you could collect? What years do you recall they were distributed with Tide?
