I'm just curious, do all Al's come with a tail? I'm not sure if the ones without a tail were previously torn off. I don't really see any remnants of a tail of my recent 2 I got. Thanks.

I believe the tail is actually an extra or left over piece of rubber from part of the molding process explaining why some have what looks like a tail and others do not.

I have many with the "tail", some quite long. However, there is no detail whatsoever on said tail and I have others without it that have an obvious injection mold mark in the same place that has been factory painted over. This same issue goes for the Alberts with a horn, it's just extra injection rubber from the mold.

Ah. Thanks for the info and photos Astronit! My Al has a short "tail" and one if my Sandys have one of those tooth-like projections, but I never was sure if they were just molding remnants or if they were supposed to be there and most examples had simply had theirs torn off!
